The Ackaia For Press Benefits provides verified members of the press with permanent complimentary access to qualifying Ackaia subscriptions.
The program is intended to apply across the Ackaia ecosystem as eligible subscriptions become available.
qualifying subscriptions are provided at no charge;
issued through a unique offer code linked to the verified Ackaia account;
press verification is performed once rather than renewed every six months.
Before requesting press verification, complete your billing profile at https://id.ackaia.com/account/billing.
The identity information in the billing profile must correspond to the person identified by the press credential. If the profile and credential identify different people, Ackaia may be unable to approve the verification until the discrepancy is resolved.
Ackaia can review several forms of professional press credentials, including:
a press ID or badge issued by your employer;
a credential issued for an event you covered as a member of the press;
a press badge, card, or ID issued by a government authority or local authority;
a credential granting access to areas normally restricted to the public, such as controlled incident areas, emergency lines, crime-scene perimeters, or similar press-access zones;
another professional press credential that can reasonably establish your status.
The credential must contain enough information to identify both the person and the professional context. It must show:
your name;
your professional title or press role;
your employer, organization, authority, or other issuer.
Where available, an issue or validity date, credential number, barcode, QR code, or another issuer-verification mechanism is preferred because it can make validation easier, but these elements are not mandatory when the remaining evidence is sufficient.
It is also useful to provide the professional email address of a supervisor, editor, employer, or other appropriate contact at the issuing organization. Ackaia may contact that person or organization to validate the credential where appropriate.
A validation contact is helpful, but it does not replace the requested press credential.

Explain that you are requesting verification for the Press Benefits Program.
You may include non-sensitive context about your publication, employer, press role, or professional validation contact.
Submit the case.
Email support@ackaia.com and clearly state in both the subject and message body that the request is for press verification.
Never attach the press credential to the email. Email is only used to start the request. Credentials must be submitted through the secure Ackaia ID verification environment
After Ackaia receives the request, a verification link will be sent for the case.
Open the verification link provided by Ackaia.
Continue into the designated verification environment within Ackaia ID.
Review the credential requirements shown for your case.
Upload the press credential only through that environment.
Complete any additional verification step shown for the request.
Submit the verification for review.
Do not send press credentials by email, ordinary support reply, social media, chat, or another informal channel.
Press credentials can contain sensitive identity, employment, access, and issuer information. Ackaia handles them through a dedicated secure workflow, separate from ordinary support attachments. The environment applies strict confidentiality controls and encryption in transit and at rest. Access to readable credential images is tightly authorized and limited to qualified personnel where human review is necessary.
The submitted credential image is destroyed after it fulfills its verification purpose. A persistent readable copy is not retained as an ordinary account or support attachment. Necessary verification events, authorization decisions, security records, entitlement information, and audit records may remain separately in accordance with applicable Ackaia policies.

Ackaia reviews whether the submitted credential and associated account information provide sufficient evidence of professional press status. Where appropriate, validation may include the identity and title shown on the credential, employer or issuer, dates, credential identifiers, issuer-verification mechanisms, and a professional validation contact supplied with the case.
If Ackaia cannot reasonably validate the credential, it may request different evidence or reject the verification.
If approved, Ackaia will send a unique offer code linked to your Ackaia account. The code is intended only for the verified account and should not be shared, sold, transferred, or provided to another person.
Under the current program, approved press members receive complimentary CipherDrive Plus access. Press verification is performed only once.
Start the request through support, but never send a press credential through support. Wait for the secure Ackaia ID verification link
