If your CipherDrive™ upload, Public Link, sharing capability, object, or account has been restricted and you believe the decision was incorrect, you may be able to request review through the support, abuse, or appeal process currently available for that action.
A restriction may apply to:
one upload;
one Public Link;
a shared object;
sharing capabilities;
an account feature;
the entire CipherDrive account;
access within a particular region.
The review process and available remedy can depend on the type and reason for the restriction.
Useful information can include:
the exact restriction or error message;
the relevant object, link, or account reference;
the approximate time the action occurred;
a concise explanation of why you believe the restriction is incorrect;
relevant non-secret evidence;
context that may explain a false positive or mistaken report.
Never submit:
vault PINs;
vault passphrases;
master keys;
file keys;
recovery phrases;
other private cryptographic material.
A legitimate review should not require you to defeat CipherDrive's encryption model.
Depending on the case, Ackaia may review available:
Risk Assessment Engine indicators;
metadata;
Public Link activity;
account security events;
prior reports;
moderation records;
enforcement history;
claimant or reporter evidence;
legal or law-enforcement references;
other relevant context available within the platform.
Zero-knowledge architecture may prevent Ackaia from opening the underlying stored plaintext file during review.
Where policy and law permit, Ackaia may restore access or remove a restriction if review shows that the original action was incorrect, no longer necessary, or too broad.
Restoration is not guaranteed. Some actions may need to remain in place because of severe safety risk, repeated abuse, a valid legal requirement, technical constraints, or other applicable policy reasons.
Some restrictions arise from valid legal process rather than ordinary platform moderation. In those cases, Ackaia may have limited ability to restore access while the order remains legally binding.
Ackaia's Legal Request Response Policy states that the company may challenge, narrow, or reject requests that are invalid, overbroad, censorial, abusive, technically impossible, or inconsistent with applicable law and human rights.
Creating new accounts, modifying content to defeat safety systems, repeatedly recreating disabled links, or otherwise circumventing a restriction can lead to additional enforcement.
An appeal is the right way to challenge a suspected error. Circumvention can turn a reviewable restriction into a separate policy violation.
