CipherDrive Plans Explained

CipherDriveâ„¢ is accessed through Ackaia One, Ackaia's consumer subscription and entitlement layer.

Ackaia currently advertises a free CipherDrive tier with 5 GB of storage and no credit card required to start. Paid or promotional Ackaia One plans may provide additional storage, transfer capacity, features, or other benefits.

What does an Ackaia One plan control?

Depending on the plan, region, and current product configuration, your Ackaia One entitlement may affect:

Is CipherDrive itself the subscription?

Not exactly.

CipherDrive is the encrypted drive. Ackaia One is the subscription and entitlement layer.

Your Ackaia ID provides the identity layer used to sign in. Ackaia One determines the applicable subscription access and benefits. CipherDrive provides the encrypted-storage product.

The free tier

Ackaia's public website currently states that users can start with 5 GB free and that no credit card is required for the free plan.

Free plans can still be subject to operational limits, fair-use controls, security controls, and other product rules.

Paid-plan prices, billing intervals, storage allowances, transfer limits, taxes, included features, renewal terms, and promotional conditions are disclosed in the current Ackaia checkout, account portal, or applicable offer.

Because commercial offers can change, use the current checkout or subscription-management screen as the authoritative source rather than relying on an old screenshot or support article for a price.

Do subscriptions renew automatically?

Unless the checkout or applicable offer says otherwise, paid Ackaia subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.

You should cancel before the renewal date if you do not want the next recurring charge.

Are taxes included?

Taxes can depend on your country, region, billing address, transaction type, and applicable law.

The amount presented at checkout should show the charges Ackaia or the payment processor is collecting. You may remain responsible for taxes that Ackaia is not legally required to collect.

Can plans change?

Yes. Ackaia may introduce, modify, rename, replace, or discontinue plans, features, limits, promotions, or services for product, legal, operational, security, or business reasons, subject to applicable terms and mandatory consumer rights.

For current pricing and limits, always use the plan information shown inside Ackaia One or the current checkout.
