You can cancel a paid Ackaia One subscription through the subscription controls currently available for your account.
Because Ackaia One provides the entitlement used by CipherDrive™, cancelling the paid subscription can change your CipherDrive plan benefits.
Ackaia's General Terms state that paid subscriptions normally renew automatically until cancelled.
To avoid the next recurring charge, cancel before the renewal deadline shown in your subscription or billing interface.
The exact effective time is the one disclosed by the current billing flow.
Depending on the offer, cancellation can:
stop the next renewal while allowing paid benefits through the already-paid service period; or
take effect according to another schedule clearly disclosed by Ackaia or the payment provider.
Review the confirmation screen before completing cancellation.
Unless Ackaia expressly offers otherwise, fees are generally non-refundable except where required by applicable law.
Mandatory consumer cancellation, cooling-off, refund, chargeback, warranty, or unfair-contract rights remain unaffected where they apply.
Cancelling a paid plan is not automatically the same as deleting your Ackaia ID or immediately deleting every CipherDrive object.
However, after the paid entitlement ends, your account can become subject to the storage, transfer, sharing, or feature limits of the plan that remains available to you.
If your stored usage exceeds the allowance of the resulting plan, CipherDrive may restrict some operations according to the current product rules.
If the files are important, consider:
reviewing your current storage usage;
checking the allowance of the plan you will have after cancellation;
downloading or backing up important files;
verifying that exported files can be opened;
reviewing Public Links and sharing;
keeping your vault recovery material available.
Stopping a paid Ackaia One subscription does not necessarily delete the broader Ackaia ID identity.
If you want to close an account or request deletion of personal information, use the appropriate account and privacy controls separately.
Cancel the subscription before its renewal date if you want to prevent the next recurring charge.
