Understanding Your Ackaia ID Account and Product Access

Your Ackaia ID is the identity used to authenticate with participating Ackaia Corp. services. Being able to sign in to Ackaia ID, however, does not automatically mean that every Ackaia product or feature is available to your account.

Ackaia ID answers who you are

Ackaia ID provides the shared account and authentication layer used across the Ackaia ecosystem.

Participating services can use it to establish:

Product access is evaluated separately

After your identity is established, the product still decides whether the account can use that service or a particular feature.

Access can depend on factors such as:

Example: Ackaia ID, Ackaia One, and CipherDrive

For CipherDrive, Ackaia ID can provide account and entitlement information required to authenticate the user, associate the encrypted vault with the correct account, and enforce applicable security controls.

This does not mean that Ackaia ID becomes the holder of the plaintext CipherDrive file keys or master key.

Why can I sign in but still see an access error?

Product data remains product-specific

Using one Ackaia ID does not place all data from every Ackaia product into one shared account record.

Files, storage objects, product preferences, organization data, product-specific permissions, cryptographic material, and other service-specific records remain subject to the architecture and policies of the product that created or stores them.

Removing access is different from deleting data

Revoking a connected application, losing a product entitlement, leaving an organization, cancelling a subscription, suspending an account, and deleting product data are different actions.

If you need to perform one of these actions, follow the controls and Help Center instructions for that specific operation rather than assuming that one account-level change performs all of them.

One Ackaia ID provides one identity across participating services. It does not provide one unrestricted permission set across the entire Ackaia ecosystem.
