Ackaia ID recovery is intended to restore access to the identity account when you can no longer complete the normal authentication flow.
The correct recovery path depends on which part of the sign-in process you have lost access to.
Before starting recovery, determine which of the following are still available:
the email address or contact method associated with your Ackaia ID;
your current account password;
your configured MFA method, if MFA is enabled;
another active Ackaia ID session on a device you control;
any recovery method currently associated with the account.
Do not sign out of a trusted working session unnecessarily while recovering another authentication method.
Open the normal Ackaia ID sign-in flow.
Use the account-recovery or password-recovery option presented by Ackaia ID.
Provide the account information requested by the recovery flow.
Complete the verification steps shown to you.
Set a new credential if the recovery process authorizes the reset.
Sign in again using the new credential.
Ackaia may apply additional identity, fraud-prevention, or security checks when a recovery attempt appears sensitive or unusual.
If MFA is required and you no longer have access to the configured verification method, the account password alone does not complete authentication.
Use any recovery option made available by Ackaia ID for the affected account. If the normal recovery flow cannot verify the request safely, contact Ackaia Support for the next available recovery step.
Do not create repeated authentication attempts or attempt to bypass the MFA requirement.
Normal automated recovery may not be possible if you have lost access to the information used to verify account ownership.
Contact Ackaia Support and explain which account information or authentication methods are no longer available.
Ackaia may require additional verification before changing account contact information, resetting non-cryptographic credentials, removing a security control, or restoring access.
Recovery can be restricted when Ackaia cannot safely establish that the requester is authorized to control the account.
Treat the situation as a potential account compromise rather than an ordinary forgotten-password case.
Start the supported recovery process and tell Ackaia Support that you suspect unauthorized access. Include the approximate time you last had normal access and any security notification or unexpected account change you observed.
Do not send old or current passwords, MFA codes, recovery codes, or other secrets in the support ticket.
Once you can sign in again:
Confirm that your account email and recovery information are correct.
Use a new, unique password if the previous credential may have been exposed.
Enable or verify MFA.
Review Connected apps and revoke anything you do not recognize or no longer use.
Review available session or security information for unexpected activity.
Secure the email account and devices used to recover your Ackaia ID.
Recovering your Ackaia ID restores the identity account when the supported recovery requirements can be satisfied.
It does not recreate user-controlled cryptographic material that Ackaia does not possess.
For example, CipherDriveâ„¢ account recovery and CipherDrive encrypted-content recovery are separate. If cryptographic material required to decrypt supported CipherDrive content has been permanently lost, restoring Ackaia ID access does not generate a replacement decryption key for that content.
